St Jean de Monts is a lively resort town on France's Atlantic coast
a comfortable 5 hours drive from the Western Channel ports.
The Vendee enjoys as much sun as the South of France and offers
miles of wide, safe, sandy beaches.
The town of St Jean comprises the bustling sea front with numerous
restaurants, bars, clubs and a casino and a beautiful fine sandy beach
with lots for kids to do and the older town back from the sea front with
shops, supermarkets, covered and busy open markets (Weds & Sats), banks
North and South of the town the beaches are backed by dunes and pine forest.
Very gently shelving and never crowded they offer an ideal location for young
children.
St Jean de Monts is an excellent centre for exploring the Vendee.
